Park County, WY September 21, 2017 – Mountain Spirit Habitat for Humanity of Park County will break ground on their next new construction project, located in Cody, on September 29th, 2017 at 2PM.  Located on lot 21 in the Spirit Mountain Subdivision on New Hope Drive, this home is being built in partnership with the USDA Rural Development 502 Direct Program. This will be the tenth Habitat Home to be built in this subdivision. In just a few months, the property will become home to Cody resident and single mom, Kira Schoonover.   “The support and partnership of organizations like the USDA RD allows us to accelerate and broaden access to affordable housing as a foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty.” said Jaime Schmeiser, Executive Director of Mountain Spirit Habitat for Humanity of Park County.   Habitat for Humanity is a global, ecumenical housing ministry that seeks to build and renovate safe, decent, and affordable houses in partnership with very low- to moderate-income residents of communities. The ultimate goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by building adequate and basic housing.
